On November 24th, 1971 in Portland, a man calling himself “Dan Cooper” boarded a Northwest Airlines 727 jetliner bound for Seattle. The man, erroneously identified by the press as “DB Cooper”, claimed that he had a bomb in his briefcase and demanded $200,000 and four parachutes. Somewhere over southwestern Washington State, Cooper jumped from the rear of the aircraft with the money and was never seen nor heard from again.

The DB Cooper Conference is a three day event where everyone from case experts to those with a casual interest gather to explore America’s only unsolved skyjacking. The days are filled with presentations on new findings and research along with panels of experts, authors, and even those witness to the events. The evenings are filled with fun social events where those with a similar interest can come together and talk about their fascination with the enduring mystery of Dan “DB” Cooper.
